2018 Nuffield Farming Lecture by Prof Michael Winter
The food and farming industries are being invited to come together and hear the latest research on how farmers can meet the needs of future UK food cultures. Professor Michael Winter (part of SIRN Leadership team) will present the inaugural Nuffield Farming Lecture on 4 July 2018 in London.
Over the past 18 months, Professor Winter has conducted extensive research hoping to influence the future of British farming. He will present his findings, titled ‘Changing food cultures: challenges and opportunities for UK agriculture’.
After the lecture a question and answer session will be chaired by Professor Sir Charles Godfray, director of the Oxford Martin School, as well as a member of a number of government and UN advisory groups.
- 10:30 for 11:00 – Welcome reception and coffee
- 11:00 – Lecture given by Professor Michael Winter OBE
- 12:00 – Open forum chaired by Professor Sir Charles Godfray CBE FRS
- 12:45 to 14:00 – Networking buffet lunch
